I found a babbling brook
drawing emotions from springs of
past and present fears
a constant trickle
around the crevaces of my face
the angle of my cheekbone, my
jawbone, my collarbone
who knows where the water goes
after it falls who can find it again?
but what once was always will be
because of what you said
without your words
I am not alone.
